Club Ridge Estate

This custom-built home is located in the picturesque Holliday Farms neighborhood of Zionsville, Indiana. It was thoughtfully designed with great consideration given to the direction and placement of the windows so that few window treatments would be needed. The ones that were required for privacy and light control needed to be as well designed as the rest of the home.

Roller shades and bottom-up shades were chosen for their clean lines and minimalist aesthetic. We recessed the motorized room-darkening draperies to conceal the hardware. We pre-wired the home for automated treatments to eliminate the need for battery packs and allow for low-profile shades. We collaborated with Intelligent Living to integrate the motorized treatments with the home’s automation system.

On the porch, we installed three retractable outdoor screens. We used privacy fabric on the sides facing neighbors and a transparent, open-weave fabric on the opening facing the wooded backyard. The result is a bug-free porch that provides privacy from next-door neighbors while maintaining the view-through where it matters most. The outdoor shades also provide enough sun control and privacy that the homeowners were able to forego shades on their patio slider and living room windows.
