Once again, we were honored to be a part of the BAGI’s annual Home-a-Rama event. Home-a-Rama offers us an opportunity to work with the best designers and craftsmen in the business to create a truly stunning home. This year, we had the pleasure of working in the Old Town Design Group Home, with interior designer Wendy Langston of Everything Home.
This home turned out to be a truly beautiful expression of our favorite fall design trends. This office combines neutrals, textures, and gold to create an elegant space. The gold hardware used to hang the drapes is a small but powerful touch! We also love the look of a woven shade under this seamed drape.
There’s also lots of texture used in this cozy seating area. The fuzzy pillows and soft couch combine with heavily textured accent pieces to create a feeling of comfortable elegance. The geometric pattern of the drapery panels perfectly frame the look. The burlap at the top of the drapes adds another layer of texture, and keeps the panels from disappearing into the walls.
In the dining area, the table and light fixture are center stage. We chose draperies that framed them and highlight their beauty. The high placement of the seaming draws the eyes upward, making the room feel taller (and drawing attention to that gorgeous ceiling!). The right window treatments will always compliment the elements in a room; never compete with them.
There are a lot of elements at work in this covered patio, so once again we wanted to keep things simple but elegant. These natural drapes are accented with a brown stripe and large brass grommets, which make them into something unique. It’s always amazing to see how the right combination of simple elements can create something that is truly one-of-a-kind.
We recently shared about why we love roller shades on our blog, and this is a great example of how they add style to a small space. This printed roller shade is just the right touch for this window; not too much, not too little.
