Yes! Hunter Douglas is the first manufacturer to earn a national energy performance rating and certification for interior window coverings through the Attachments Energy Rating Council (AERC), a third-party verified national program for the energy and performance of window attachments.

In winter, our AERC certified products are proven to help keep interiors warmer, help prevent heat from escaping the home, use natural sunlight to warm the home, eliminate chilly drafts, and lower heating costs.

In summer, our AERC certified products are proven to help keep interiors cooler, block sun heat gain, minimize harsh sun and glare, help prevent hot outside air from entering the home, and lower cooling costs.

Our energy efficient shades come in a variety of opacities, from room darkening to light filtering. Some of our shades are available with Duolite® — a system that combines light-filtering and room-darkening fabrics into a single shade for flexible light control. Top-down/bottom-up operation is also available on some of our energy-efficient shades, which provides even more flexible light control.

We also offer a vertical application called Vertiglide™ which is a vertical cellular shade application. It is an ideal choice for vertical side-to-side openings, sliding-glass doors, or used as room dividers. Yes. Our SkyLift™ skylight system, available on our energy-efficient Duette® Shades, is specifically suited for skylights. Choose PowerView® Automation for these shades, or manual operation with a hand crank or telescoping pole for hard-to-reach windows. Either way, the SkyLift system is perfect for very large, overhead windows.

The innovative TrackGlide system is perfect for European style tilt-turn windows that tilt inwards at the top or swing inwards like a door. The shades are kept in place, regardless of whether your window is closed, tilted or turned. Also suitable for French doors, TrackGlide is available with the LiteRise® and PowerView® Automation operating systems.

LightLock™ is a room-darkening system carefully engineered to prevent light leakage at the window and create a blissful, unparalleled room blackout effect.

Shades with LightLock™ use unique U-shaped side channels that overlap the front and back of the shades. The secret to unparalleled room darkening lies within the patent-pending side channel design, which features rows of specially shaped micro-ridges, optimized to absorb or deflect nearly all incoming light while preventing the light from seeping into the room.

The system is compatible with Hunter Douglas PowerView® Automation for easy control of shades via the PowerView App or with voice-activation through Amazon Alexa, the Google Assistant and Apple HomeKit.

- Hunter Douglas window fashion products are covered for defects in materials, workmanship or failure to operate for as long as the original retail purchaser owns the product (unless shorter periods are provided below).
- All internal mechanisms.
- Components and brackets.
- Repairs and/or replacements will be made with like or similar parts or products.
- Hunter Douglas motorization components are covered for 5 years from the date of purchase.

We understand there are a lot of choices in products and colors. If you don't love the choice you have made, contact your designer within 30 days of installation, so we can work with you until you are satisfied. Replacement products will be charged at 50% off or through the Hunter Douglas Right Choice Promise.
