What types of light-enhancing shades do you offer?
We offer Hunter Douglas Nantucket®, Silhouette®, Pirouette®, and Luminette® shades.
Nantucket® Window Shadings are entry-level sheer shades with S-shaped vanes in casual fabrics paired between sheers. They are available in 3" vanes.
Silhouette® Window Shadings feature adjustable S-shaped vanes between light-diffusing front and back sheer panels. This design diffuses and softens harsh sunlight. Silhouette ClearView® shadings maximize your view with a unique sheer combination and superior view-through. Silhouette® shades are available in 2", 3", or 4" vanes.
Pirouette® Window Shadings feature sculptural fabric vanes attached to a sheer backing, an innovative design that provides variable light control, UV protection and reduced glare. The revolutionary InvisiLift™ system allows the horizontal vanes to appear as if they’re floating gracefully while opening and closing. Pirouette ClearView® Shadings feature a specialized sheer that provides a virtually unobstructed view to the outside. Pirouette® shades are available in 4" or 5" vanes.
Luminette® Privacy Sheers are light-diffusing vertical sheer panels with fully-integrated vertical vanes. 3 1/2" fabric vanes rotate for privacy while controlling the light in a room. Perfect for large windows and sliding-glass doors, their superior UV protection meets both your decorating and practical needs. Luminette sheers are designed to pair with horizontal Silhouette® and Pirouette® shades for a cohesive look throughout your home.

What are Silhouette Halo™ shadings?
Silhouette Halo™ shadings, Hunter Douglas' newest innovation, feature unique, dual-layer fabric vanes that rotate up, down, or anywhere in between, giving you precise light control and privacy and eliminating harsh shadowing.
All Silhouette shadings feature soft fabric vanes suspended between two sheers that you can tilt to achieve your desired privacy, as well as UV protection for your floors and furnishings.

Do your light-enhancing shades provide privacy?
Yes. When the vanes of your shades are open, you'll experience daytime privacy. For full privacy, simply rotate the vanes closed.
Can I get privacy without blocking my views?
Yes, you can! When your sheer shades are down and the vanes are open, you will be able to enjoy views of your property while achieving daytime privacy.
The ClearView® feature provide an exceptionally clear view-through to the outside, while obscuring views into your space—and protecting your interiors from harsh UV rays.
How do I get light-filtering and room-darkening capabilities in one shade?
There are two options available for Silhouette® sheer shades that allow you to enjoy light-filtering and room-darkening capabilities with one shade.
The Duolite® System combines a translucent Silhouette shading in the front and a room-darkening roller shade in the back, so you can enjoy the view while maintaining your privacy. Silhouette Duolite® also makes it easy to set a mood. The translucent fabric diffuses harsh sunlight, creating a soft light—perfect for everything from relaxing to entertaining guests.
The A Deux™ feature combines a sheer shade and a room-darkening roller fabric into a single headrail, for flexible light control.

Can I use light-enhancing shades on a door?
Yes. All Hunter Douglas sheer shades can be used on doors. For sliding glass doors, you may want to consider Luminette® Sheer Panels.
What kinds of fabrics and colors can I choose from?
Silhouette® shades are available in over 150 fabrics/colors, Pirouette® shades are available in over 90 fabrics/colors, and Luminette® sheer panels are available in over 80 fabrics/colors.
You can view all of the fabric options in our showrooms. Your Drapery Street designer will help you choose the best fabrics for you and your home.
What kind of control options can I choose from?
There are several control options for Hunter Douglas sheer shades including smart automation, retractable wand, cord loop, push/pull, and motorized wand. You can try out each of these control options at our showrooms, located in in Carmel, Indiana and Fishers, Indiana.
Are your shades compatible with my home automation system?
Most likely! Hunter Douglas automation technology, PowerView®, integrates with a variety of home automation systems. Compatible systems include Google Assistant, Alexa, Apple HomeKit, Crestron®, Logitech®, Lutron, Control4®, Elan®, IFTTT, URC®, RTI, and Savant®.
You can also operate your motorized sheer shades with a wall switch, a remote control, or with your mobile phone or tablet.
Can I pair light-enhancing shades with drapes?
Absolutely! Draperies can add another layer of functionality and they look beautiful when paired with sheer shades.

- All internal mechanisms.
- Components and brackets.
- Repairs and/or replacements will be made with like or similar parts or products.
- Hunter Douglas motorization components are covered for 5 years from the date of purchase.
What is the Drapery Street Love It Guarantee?

🚩 ABSOLUTELY NOT! But we see it all the time. A company will install blackout roller shades throughout the entire house, meaning you overspend on blackout capabilities where you don’t need it (i.e. the laundry room) and miss out on opportunities to splurge on decorative treatments in primary living spaces.
Each room in your home is used differently and your window treatments should reflect that. If the company you are considering wants to use a one-size-fits-all approach in your custom home, turn around, FULL U-TURN!
