Vern Yip has plenty of experience designing incredible homes —and plenty of inspiration to draw from. Trips to Asia, Latin America and Europe as a child helped foster an appreciation for styles and fashions from around the world. After earning an Economics degree from The University of Virginia and master’s degrees in Management and Architecture from The Georgia Institute of Technology, he put his skill and experience to work and launched his career in interior design.
Today, Vern Yip works from his Atlanta design firm, Vern Yip Designs, but his expertise has continued to take him around the world and made him one of TV’s star designers. International appeal and one-of-a-kind style earned him the title of Southeast Designer of the Year in 2000 as well as the 2003 Distinguished Southerner Award from Southern Living magazine.
