With a new year comes new trends! We look forward to seeing what 2016 will bring in the way of interior design trends, and we’re already seeing a few come up in our work with clients. What colors will be big in 2016? Here are our predictions:
Neutrals With Pops of Color
Neutrals have been strong for the past year, and many people are bringing brightly-colored accents in to add some vibrance. This gray and white bedroom has golden yellow accents that bring warmth to the room. A style like this is a great way to incorporate bright colors into a room without having them overtake the space. The accent pieces can be easily changed for a whole new look!
Gold
Golds have been incredibly popular, and we don’t see them going anywhere soon! This gray and gold damask fabric has been one of our most popular drapery fabrics, because of its beautiful warmth and versatility. It looks great alone, or paired with a cornice or Hunter Douglas shade. We recommend some lovely gold hardware to complete the look!
Pale Blue and Silver
Perhaps inspired by one of the Pantone Colors of the Year, we see soft blues like this one being popular in 2016. The hint of gray softens the tone, making it less juvenile and more versatile. These silvery silk drapes are the perfect choice for this comfortable but elegant seating area. The damask shades are a lovely accent that draw the eye upward. The result is a space that is totally relaxing, without skimping on luxury.
