Hosting @kendallwilkinsondesign in our @indianadesigncenter showroom yesterday to kick off the LUXE Layers event was such an honor and absolutely a top highlight of 2025! We can confirm: Kendall is every bit as kind and inspiring as she is talented.
Kendall is back at the IDC today for a book-signing and discussion, “Your Style Expertly Layered: The Magic of Bespoke Design.” Open to the public, and a portion of ticket proceeds will support the @indyhabitat Women Build initiative.

C’mon, we all know you’re not going to want to drag out a step stool or ladder every time you want to adjust your hard-to-reach shades.
You’ll either end up leaving them closed and miss out on all your views and natural light or keeping them open and get baked by afternoon sun and have zero privacy at night.
Motorization allows you to easily control shades with a tap of a button or set them to a pre-determined schedule. If you’re going to motorize just one area in your home, make it your hard-to-reach windows!

Pro tip: Height is an illusion.
If your ceilings feel low and confining, check your drapery placement. Hang your rods toward the ceiling and let your panels fall long. It’ll help elongate the walls, make your ceilings feel taller, and your room instantly more open and airy. (Just make sure the panels still graze the floor. Highwater drapes are a whole other issue!)
